I am a Ph.D. candidate in the English department at the University of Mayrland with research interests in postcolonial fiction and digital humanities. My pending dissertation is titled Hacking the Empire: Reading Virtual Spaces in Postcolonial Fiction, and is a study of the literary use of both textual and digital virtual spaces in the fiction of authors such as Salman Rushdie, Amitav Ghosh and Indra Sinha.

I currently work as a research associate at the Maryland Institute for Technology and the Humanities (MITH) where I am a member of the BitCurator project team.
